Hello Fellow Travelers,
This is my first recording with the remarkably talented Jamie Hoover. We met at a songwriter’s event in Southport, NC a few years ago, recognized each other’s strengths and became true friends. Inevitably we began this collaboration of my songwriting and his production and multi instrumental skills. Some of my friends prefer the bare bones approach to my music but I am truly honored to have Jamie’s interpretation all over these tracks as he one of the most inspired and accomplished musicians I have ever known.
“These Roads Of No Return” is a song about a specific relationship in my life but even more an observation on the miles under my vehicle and the friends and loved ones who can never be retrieved. This emotion was really brought home to me on a road trip across Nevada on Route 50, “The Loneliest Road In America.”
